Founded in 1882 by German immigrant Henry Doering. Named for its resemblance to Walburg, Germany — soft rolling plains and spring-fed green valleys. Located within Georgetown and Granger in East Central Texas.
Special interest groups from outside Texas are hoping to construct a road through the vital Wallberg Valley. This road would only serve these specific special interests while simultaneously damaging the ecological environment and reducing available lands for agricultural development.
In addition to not benefiting the public, the planned road would also increase property taxes within Williamson County.
If completed this project will benefit big business while ignoring the needs of our growing communities.
